Our consultation rooms are thoughtfully designed with specially built 'Cat Cubbies' integrated into the walls. These cat-sized cut-outs feature large steps for our patients to perch on or climb inside. We encourage our furry friends to take their time - there's no rush!
Additionally, all consultation rooms are equipped with opaque walls that allow natural light to filter in, creating a warmer and less sterile atmosphere. Our largest consult room even boasts a built-in sofa, providing you with a comfortable space to relax when visiting your feline friend during their hospitalisation, away from the clinic's hustle and bustle.
All surgeries are conducted in our purpose-designed sterile operating theatre. Equipped with antibacterial wall linings and advanced ventilation systems, our theatre is meticulously designed to prevent the entry of external organisms, ensuring a sterile environment and minimising the risk of infection.
Our cages are custom-designed for our practice, prioritising maximum comfort and stress reduction for our feline patients. Crafted from warm fibreglass material, they effectively prevent noise transmission and heat loss. Spacious in size, our cages allow cats to stretch out and relax comfortably. To enhance our patients' experience, we've installed tinted glass doors and provide Cat Hides for shyer patients to retreat to.
Digital Radiography
Utilising digital radiography, we obtain superior-quality images in a fraction of the time compared to conventional methods. These images are promptly attached to your cat’s file for easy retrieval, and can be effortlessly sent anywhere in the country with just a click. Digital radiography has revolutionised feline dentistry, allowing us to routinely capture full mouth radiographs to ensure the best and most effective treatment.
Ultrasound
Our non-invasive and painless ultrasound examination method provides detailed insights into your cat’s internal organs, including the heart, using specially manipulated soundwaves. From checking bladders to guiding sample collection from internal organ masses, our Esaote MyLab40 performs sophisticated cardiac imaging and calculations, essential for diagnosing feline heart disease, which is not easily detected without cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography).
Endoscopy
With a focus on minimising patient impact and recovery time, we utilise fibre optic endoscopes and laparoscopes for diagnosis. Our state-of-the-art Storz endoscopes, tailored for the smaller size of feline patients, allow comprehensive exploration of the gastrointestinal tract and lungs. In addition, our rigid endoscope enables us to examine the nose and body cavities, facilitating 'keyhole' surgery and biopsies using a specifically designed 'mini-instrument' set.
To ensure our patients maintain their body heat during anaesthesia and surgery, we employ Bair Hugger™ technology, which circulates warm air around your cat using specially designed blankets. Widely trusted in human hospitals for over 25 years, Bair Huggers™ represent the highest standard of care, maintaining your cat's body temperature at a normal level.
Furthermore, we have invested in advanced multi-parameter anaesthetic monitors to meticulously track all vital signs during anaesthesia, ensuring the utmost safety and care for your cat.
