I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1999, after which I moved to London and worked in a variety of practices from single vet sites, to referral centres and 24 hour hospitals. In 2003 I spent two years working with a vet whose clinical standards and client care made an everlasting impression on me, Dr Jeremy Campbell. A golden opportunity came my way in 2006 and I moved to Hong Kong to start my career in practice management. On my return, I worked as a pharmaceutical rep before moving back into management searching for the perfect practice. After nearly 17 years of trying to find a vet with the same standards as the vet I met in 2003, I am fortunate enough to be able to work with him again at The London Cat Clinic, so I am thrilled to be a part of the team.
Since starting nursing in 1996, I have always had a cat or three with me. There was a brief period in Hong Kong when I lived life without cat hair in everything, when my clothes didn't need de-fluffing and cat litter trays didn't live in each corner of my flat but it wasn't the same coming home each day to a soulless flat Currently my husband and I live in South West London with two cats and I am back to de-fluffing my clothes and being woken up at 4am for food and chin rubs but I wouldn't be without them.
